Coach Winston is the defensive coordinator at Ware County High School in Waycross, Ga. A graduate of the University of Georgia, he has 17 years of coaching experience, 6 of which he has been defensive coordinator--2 years at Pierce County High School and the last 4 at Ware County. During his time as a defensive coordinator he has been apart of 4 region championships, one at Pierce County and three at Ware County. The 2018 Pierce County team made a semi-finals appearance, where the defense allowed 10ppg. The 2022 Ware County team won the 5A state championship allowing 90 points through 14 games.
