Coach Alba recently completed 4 seasons as the Head Coach at the Heritage School.  Compiling a 27-15 over record.  Between 2017-2019 the school compiled its best 3-year record, making it to the Elite 8 in two of those seasons and Final 4 in the other.  He started at cornerback for the BYU Cougars. He led the team in interceptions as a senior and was named a Mountain West Scholar Athlete. He then became a graduate assistant coach at BYU, for Bronco Mendenhall, from 2005-2008. In Alba's four years coaching at BYU, the team won the Mountain West Conference Championship two times and went to bowl games every year.  In 2009, he was hired, by Pat Hill, at Fresno State as the Bulldogs Defensive Back coach. The 'Dogs' pass defense was second in the conference and 45th in the nation in 2010 after allowing 208.77 yards a game. In 2009, the Bulldog pass defense ranked No. 32 in the country by allowing only 199.62 yards a game. He has coached here in the state of Georgia at Dublin, Carrollton, and Troup County High schools. He was born in Dallas, Texas. He and his wife, Wendy, have five children: sons, Micah Jr., Nolan, and Camden and daughters, Alaina and Teresa. He graduated from BYU with a Bachelor of Arts in History in 2004 before earning his Master's in Exercise Science Physiology.
