Matt Dickmann: Former HC, Harrison HS, GA

Coach Matt Dickmann has 35 years of experience running offensive concepts that are based on Wing T principles with regular and spread formations, that involve multiple motions. Initially specializing in true Wing-T concepts, Coach Dickmann expanded by running hybrid and spread Wing-T to the offense by adding RPO’s in 2016.  This expansion came a result of coaching athletes such as Justin Fields, currently the quarterback for the Chicago Bears. 

As an assistant and a coordinator in Florida, he helped lead the Jupiter Warriors to 10 play-off appearances in 14 years. As a head coach at newly founded Seminole Ridge, they were district champions for 3 straight years and made the play-offs 5 out of 8 years.  He was named coach of the year 4 times in Florida.

At Harrison High in Kennesaw, GA, the HOYA football team had their best season since 2002 posting a 10-2 record before being knocked out in the second round of the play-offs. The team also posted its highest ranking since 2007. Coach Dickmann was named the 2016 All-County coach of the year by the MDJ and by the AJC. In 2017 the Hoya’s won the region title for the first time since 2005 and reached the 3rd round of the play-offs for the 1st time in 15 years. The Hoya’s highest state ranking was second. Coach Dickmann was named Region 6-AAAAAA 2017 coach of the year. In 2019, the Hoyas averaged 40 points a game on offense, won the 6-AAAAAA Region, won the class 6A State Championship and set Cobb County history by being the first team to go 15-0.  Coach D was named 2019 Region 6AAAAAA, Metro Atlanta, MDJ, Cobb County Touchdown Club and Atlanta Touchdown Club coach of the year.

Coach Dickmann has been a head strength coach for over 35 years. The Strength Program has been very successful and helped produced a 2010 Florida State Weightlifting Championship and a runner up, in football it helped them win a 2019 State Championship in Georgia, many region championships as well as many successful seasons.
