Chip Seagle, aka Coach Chip
A graduate of Troy State University, Coach Chip has been coaching high
school football since 1985 and has coached in over football 400 games. He has
coached all over the state of Alabama, but his greatest success came with the
Lanett Panthers, from 2009 – to 2019. The Panthers won two state titles, broke
several scoring records, and had many all-state players while he was coaching the
Panthers. He has retired from full-time coaching and teaching and is now the
offensive coordinator at the Heritage School in Newnan, Georgia.
Coach Chip has coached several players that have gone on to play in the NFL
and numerous players he has coached have played college ball. In 2017, he was
named the Alabama Coach of the year. That honor came after a four-year run that
saw the Panthers score over 2,000 points while running a mash-up of Wing T and
Spread Gun concepts.
